The private residence in Bologna represents refined Emilian living where historic architecture and contemporary design coexist. This Bologna home selected LU Murano chandeliers to enhance its spaces under the artistic direction of Interior Designer Fabrizio Cocchi. The project creates dialogue between Venetian glass art and local architectural heritage.
The residence owners commissioned lighting design capable of enhancing the magnificent wooden coffered ceiling without compromising the contemporary identity of the spaces. The challenge was finding solutions that would dialogue with the rigorous geometries of historic architecture whilst maintaining strong artistic personality. The architectural context included carved wooden ceilings with warm tones and volumes requiring scenographic lighting. Interior Designer Fabrizio Cocchi identified the LU Murano collection as the ideal response for this prestigious environment.
Master Fabio Fornasier developed a solution based on two LU 24-light chandeliers with double-column structure, characterised by Murano blown glass in mirrored champagne colouring. The double-column configuration creates sinuous sweeps that contrast elegantly with the geometries of the wooden coffers. The mirrored champagne finish integrates perfectly with the golden tones of the carved wood and amplifies the natural luminosity of the spaces. Each chandelier is hand-blown in the Murano furnaces according to Venetian artisanal tradition.
The installation transforms the residence into a space where architectural tradition and lighting innovation achieve perfect equilibrium. The LU Murano chandeliers function not only as lighting elements but imprint personality even in spaces already dense with historic value. The project, curated by Fabrizio Cocchi and captured by photographer Fabio Di Carlo, demonstrates Master Fornasier's ability to create solutions that distinguish themselves in the most refined environments. The champagne finish creates chromatic continuity between historic and contemporary elements and visually unifies the entire environment.
For historic residences and prestigious homes requiring bespoke artistic lighting, LU Murano develops customised projects that enhance architectural heritage whilst transforming every environment into a space of contemporary excellence.
